Home Haul

Since its the month of November already I've decided I would share some lovely products that I think are perfect for your winter cosy nights in.

Firstly I'm going to start off with the sparkle like a unicorn beaker. This was a bargain from Primark and only cost £3.00!
It's made of solid glitter plastic and is perfect for your cold drinks! I put semi warm hot chocolate into it and it still seems to be in one piece!

This next product is also from Primark and cost £8. As soon as I saw this I just knew I had to get it; A giant light up letter A! Quite fitting considering my name is Abby and also I might be a little obsessed with Pretty Little Liars!

I absolutely love this product, it makes my room super cosy at night when its sat on my dressing table. The product takes two AA batteries to light it which is really handy as you can place it anywhere you like without needing a power source. There were other letters available too so if this is something you like jump down to your nearest primary store and check out the home ware section.

As it's winter I am now more obsessed with candles this is why I couldn't resit this little beauty when I saw it.

The candle is called pretty in pink and when lit smells like cotton candy! Like the real candy floss smell you would get at your fun fair. This was only £1.99 from Home Bargains.

I really loved that it was pink and the cute little bow on top really made it for me.

What girl doesn't love Prosecco? When I saw this little love heart plaque I knew I just had to buy it. Its so girly, glittery and glamorous and at £1.99 it really was a steal. This was also from Home Bargains - placed beside the candle. I have this hanging on my wall and every time I look at it I just feel instantly happy.

This last product I didn't buy but was given to me as a birthday gift. Im adding it into this post as I feel it fits perfectly with the rest of the decor I've mentioned.

These are a box of flowers that are from a company called Forever Flowers. You can see some of their products here https://foreverflowersuk.com
These rainbow roses that I received have been preserved so they last up to 1 year!, which is a major bonus as they are absolutely gorgeous!

They come delivered in this cute little round hat box which is perfect to keep in your home or at the office. The roses themselves are stunning and feature little diamond hearts inside of them.

These really are the most incredible rainbow coloured real roses I have ever set eyes on. They really do brighten up my bedroom.

Are there any homeware products that you guys would recommend? I would love to hear about them. Until next time.

Pumpkin Picking at Arnprior Farm

This weekend I got to do one of the most fun Autumnal and Halloween activities possible! I have wanted to go to a pumpkin patch since as long as I can remember considering Halloween is my most favourite time of the year! As I live in the UK, Scotland to be precise never in a million years did I think I would find a real live pumpkin patch!

This weekend I took the plunge and did the dreaded task of googling pumpkin patches near Glasgow, and I was pleasantly surprised to find one just a 45 minute drive away near the city of Stirling. I really couldn't believe my luck, for the girl who adores Halloween to find a pumpkin patch so close to home was a real treat!

The patch was located on a farm called Arnprior and was only opened for two weeks, unfortunately I discovered the patch on its last weekend of being opened. I arrived at the pumpkin patch on Sunday 23rd at 11am. Already the car park was full even though the patch only opened at 10am! Luckily I managed to get a car parking space at an old abandoned garage further up in the little village of Arnprior.

After walking a ten minute walk I arrived at the patch and unusual for Scotland it was actually sunny! However once in the field I realised how muddy it really was, luckily I had wore my wellies but my friend decided she would wear a pair of old trainers- big mistake. Whilst walking up the patch her trainer got stuck in the mud, her foot came flying out which resulted in her nearly face planting the ground! A Bridget Jones baby moment for sure!

The pumpkin patch had been designed so lovingly, it was really family friendly and just screamed all things Autumn. There were hand painted signs from grow your own potatoes to pick your own turnip. There were also lots of hay bales dotted about the patch along with what looked like corn fields - a real jeepers creeper moment.

As I arrived on the last day of the patch being opened there were only 500 pumpkins available however that wasn't a problem as the pumpkins that were left were amazing - something you would see in Cinderella! Being me I bought two of the largest ones I could find which cost me £16, I know this sounds a lot as you can get large pumpkins for £3 from Sainsburys but then you really don't get the overall fun out of the experience by picking them on your own.

I couldn't have been the only one who didn't mind the prices as the farm was packed by the time 11.30am arrived and of course they had nearly sold out of pumpkins! Also as it is a family run business I really didn't mind paying that little bit extra.

Of course I had to get a cheesy photo of myself holding one of the pumpkins by the hay bale (it would have been a wasted journey otherwise haha). After paying for our pumpkins we noticed a little stall that was selling home made jam along side a little coffee van which was selling food and refreshments, it really added to the already great atmosphere.

Once we made the walk back to the car with our pumpkins in hand we made the trip back home, it was then we realised how close to Stirling castle the farm really was - about a 15 minute drive to be precise.

Overall it really was a fantastic day especially for a autumn and halloween lover like myself. I really hope the family at Arnprior Farm continue to do this every year as it really was so much fun, perfect for adults and children. I hope you all enjoy the photos and the post and if you have a car and fancy popping down to this farm then please do but make sure you bring your wellies! Now I'm off to watch Hocus Pocus to really get me in the Halloween mood! Until next time.
